QRAnchor ("we", "us") provides dynamic QR code generation and scan analytics at qranchor.com. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how it's handled.
Creating an account requires an email address and a password. We store your email and a securely hashed password — we never store your password in plain text. We also store your Stripe customer and subscription IDs if you subscribe, to manage billing.
For each QR code you create, we store the destination web address you set, an optional label you give it, and whether the code is active or paused. This data is only visible to you, in your dashboard.
When someone scans one of your QR codes, we record the date and time, an approximate device type (phone, tablet, or computer, guessed from the scanning browser), and the website that linked to the QR code, if any. We do not store IP addresses or precise geolocation of anyone who scans a code — we have no way to identify who scanned a code or exactly where they were standing.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details — Stripe handles that directly and securely.
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We don't currently use third-party analytics or advertising cookies on this site.
You can edit or delete any QR code from your dashboard at any time — deleting a code also deletes its scan history. You can request access to, correction of, or full deletion of your account data at any time by contacting us (see below). We don't have a self-service account deletion button yet — email us and we'll handle it manually.
QRAnchor is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
We may update this policy as the service changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
